Entripy’s CEO Wins Oakville Entrepreneur of the Year Award

(Oakville, ON – March 30, 2017) - Jas Brar, President and CEO of Entripy Custom Clothing was honoured to be presented with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Oakville Awards for Business Excellence Gala on March 29, 2017.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes an individual who exhibits extraordinary entrepreneurship, energy, inspiration, leadership and innovation in their business pursuits.

“I’m super grateful for this achievement,” says Brar. “Although Entrepreneur of the Year may sound like an individual award, in reality it wasn’t possible without the dedication and hard work that everyone in our company puts in day in and day out to support a fast paced high growth culture like ours.”

Brar founded Entripy in 1999 when he was 18 years old and living in residence at the University of Toronto. The Oakville native quickly moved his small operation to his parent’s basement where he screen printed t-shirts manually.

Entripy is now a national leader and operates in a state-of-the-art 35,000 square foot facility, and has immediate plans to expand. Entripy produces over 4 million custom t-shirts each year for charities, businesses and schools across the country including some of Canada’s largest campaigns.

For Brar, being honoured by the Oakville Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Oakville represented the fulfillment of a personal goal. Since its inception, Entripy has been a proud member of the Oakville community, supporting local community initiatives and contributing to the strong economic fabric of the city. Although the company is national and plans to go international, Entripy’s roots are firmly planted in Brar’s home town of Oakville.
