Understanding Measurement Terms For Your Custom Clothing

At Entripy we pride ourselves on delivering top quality custom clothing designed especially for you. To make the most out of our items, it is important to make sure the sizing is correct.

When looking at the product details page for a particular item, you will see a link to a sizing guide for that product under the colour options. This will give the measurements for the particular item of custom clothing. It is important to remember that different brands and styles will have different measurements. Even if you know you normally take a medium t-shirt size, for example, it is a good idea to take your measurements and always check the size guide to make sure you get the right fit.

For a comfort fit custom sweatpants are measured by the waist and inseam ranging from small to extra large sizes.

Inseam length and waist measurements for custom bottoms

When buying custom bottoms you need to know two measurements: waist width and inseam length. Measure your inseam length by taking a measuring tape from the crotch down to the bottom of the leg. This will give you the inseam length. For the waist, take a measuring tape around the natural waist. Once you have both your leg and waist measurements, go onto the sizing guide for the particular bottoms you want and match up your measurements with the denoted size in the table. Most brands for custom bottoms we carry come in small, medium, large, extra-large, 2XL and 3XL sizes.

Length and width for custom t-shirts and sweatshirts

When choosing t-shirts and tops, find what chest width you need for your custom clothing by measuring across the shirt from under arm to under arm. Be sure to keep the measuring tape level and comfortably loose. For length, measure from the top of the shirt at the back of the neck to the bottom hem.  Once you have these two measurements, refer to the sizing guide on the product page for the item you want and match it up with the denoted size in the table. Most custom t-shirts and sweatshirts include sizes small, medium, large and extra-large.

How to measure for custom work shirts

If you are buying one of our custom work shirts for your business, it is important to get the right fit so you and your staff look smart, comfortable and professional at all times. To take your neck measurement, take a tape measure round your neck across the widest part. Make sure you can fit your finger in between your neck and the tape. This will give you enough room to be comfortable. To measure your sleeve length, measure the distance from the nape of the neck to the end of the shoulder. Then measure from the shoulder down to the wrist. Add the two numbers together for the sleeve measurement. Be conscious of where you want the sleeve to hang when measuring down to the wrist. For the chest measurements, follow the guideline detailed above for custom t-shirts and sweatshirts.
